The physics of earthquakes is significantly influence by the structure of fault zones. Since my undergraduate studies, I have focused on investigating the detailed structure of large seismogenic fault zones (e.g. Eastern Tibetan Plateau and San Andreas Fault system) by using fault zone related phases, and by leveraging traffic signals and ambient noise in regions with minimal seismicity.
